Mission Statement: Colorado State University AMA Marketing Club
The Colorado State University AMA Marketing Club will enhance students’ professional portfolios, leadership abilities, and people skills through:
- Building relationships with community members on and off campus, Colorado State University College of Business faculty and staff, and alumni members
- Real world experience through market research opportunities, event planning, professional networking with various companies, and working jointly with fellow students and professors
- Providing a fun environment for all students to interact with peers, professionals, and professors
The Colorado State University chapter of the American Marketing Association’s theme for 2004-2005 will be to “Make It Happen” in all areas of our chapter. We have defined our goals, we have developed plans of action, we will expand our members’ professional portfolios, we will have a known presence in our community, we will raise money for our club, we will keep members involved and enthused, we will communicate on a regular basis with faculty and professional members of our community, and we will operate in an organized and effective manner.
Chapter Goals for 2004-2005:
- Introduce creative professional development workshops to members
- Maintain involvement of marketing faculty and staff in the College of Business
- Continue smooth officer transitions each semester
- Increase organizational efforts of chapter at meetings, and with officers and members
- Have a strong, confident, and proud presence at the AMA International Collegiate Conference
- Increase member motivation and incentives to attend events and participate in club activities
- Complete effective fundraising activities on a smaller scale to bring immediate funds to the club
Accomplish all endeavors and, “Make it Happen!”
