A Fulbright Adventure in Portugal

This is the
tale of my Fulbright experience in Portugal at the University of Evora from April 1, 2002
until June 30, 2002. Along with the story are some pictures and links to other pages with
ideas for people who are going overseas for a semester or so.
The adventure began in August 2000 when I applied for a teaching/research Fulbright in
Evora, Portugal. In December 2000, I was notifed that my application had been passed on to the
Portuguese Fulbright committee and in February 2001, I was notified that I was award the grant
to the University of Evora in Evora, Portugal. Since the grant period is 2001-2002 but my grant
does not begin until April 2002, I actually knew about this for a YEAR! This web site will
chronicle the adventure from pre-Portugal to the end ...
